Bengaluru, Apr 5: Advocate for the CD lady and general secretary of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee's legal unit, Surya Mukundaraj, has accused the Special Investigation team (SIT) officials probing the allegations against Ramesh Jarkiholi of raiding the paying guest accommodation where the complainant lady stayed, and of destroying evidence there.

He said that Jarkiholi had not named the lady in his complaint, but the officials had raided the PG. "They say they have recovered cash and other documents," he observed and. questioned how was the raid conducted without any basis, duly pointing out that the officials had not raided the residence of Jarkiholi. He said all these things give rise to suspicions.

Mukundaraj also blamed the chief minister of trying to mislead the investigation by claiming that Ramesh Jarkiholi will come out unscathed and by projecting the affected lady as the accused. He also said that information about the investigation is being leaked to save Jarkiholi. He claimed that the lady has not given her consent for the appointment of special public prosecutor.

The advocate said that the distressed lady is being subjected to interrogation repeatedly even though she is innocent, and not questioning Ramesh Jarkiholi. He said that the lady has started suspecting that the officials are creating evidence against her.
