Bengaluru: CM thanks Modi, Gadkari for approving Tumakuru-Shivamogga 4-laning work

Bengaluru, Apr 3: Chief minister BS Yediyurappa has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and union surface transport and national highways minister Nitin Gadkari for granting approval for the four-laning of the Tumakuru-Shivamogaa National Highway project.

The Tumakuru-Shivamogga National Highway 206 is being four-laned under the Bharat Mala Programme.

The Centre is implementing the Tumakuru-Shivamogaa National Highway project at a cost of Rs 6,397.47 crore.

The four-laning work of the Tumakuru-Shivamogaa National Highway project would help the development of the Malnad region and improve communication between Bengaluru and Malnad region, the Chief Minister said.
