Bengaluru: Rakesh Singh, Gaurav Gupta assume charge of new BBMP posts

Bengaluru, Apr 1: Senior IAS officers Rakesh Singh and Gaurav Gupta who were appointed to the posts of administrator and commissioner of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) on Wednesday by the state government, formally took charge of the new postings on Thursday.

Rakesh Singh was the additional chief secretary (Water Resources Department).

The new BBMP administrator took charge of the outgoing administrator.

The newly-appointed BBMP chief commissioner Gaurav Gupta took charge at the administrator's room in BBMP head office.

Special commissioners D Randeep, Rajendra Cholan, Manoj Jain, Reddy Shankar Babu, Basavaraju, Tulsi Maddineni, Ravindra and other officials were present on the occasion.
