Bengaluru: Jarkiholi advised to stay away from electoral politics?

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Apr 1: It is learnt that the BJP top brass has advised former minister, Ramesh Jarkiholi, who is grappling with the issue of sleaze CD, against involvement with the current bypolls.

The lady in question has not only made the allegation of rape against Ramesh Jarkiholi, but also recorded statement in the court. As such, at this stage, it is unclear what is in store in the future for this case and also Jarkiholi. The leaders therefore feel that it will be in the best interests of the party if Jarkiholi does not get involved with the election now.

It is said that based on this advice, Ramesh Jarkiholi had kept distance from the programme of filing nomination papers by the BJP official candidate for Belagavi Lok Sabha constituency for the bypoll, Mangala Angadi.
