Bengaluru, Mar 30: Health and family welfare minister Dr K Sudhakar participated in the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of a new library, lecture and examination hall, 300 seat capacity lecture theatre and postgraduates' hostel at the Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS), Ballari, through video conferencing on Tuesday.
Dr Sudhakar, who is also the state’s medical education minister, also inaugurated the dental college girls hostel and MRI scanning machine of the College.
Minister Anand Singh, MLAs G Karunakara Reddy and Somashekhar Reddy, MP Y Devendrappa, chairman of Safai Karmachari Development Corporation, Hanumantappa and other dignitaries were present.
