Udupi: Issue of permits for crushers, stone quarries resumed

Udupi, Mar 26: Issue of permits for crushers and stone quarries have been resumed from Friday, March 26, which were stopped for some time.

The government’s construction work and the construction of residential houses had stopped due to restrictions on the issue of permits. Following this, construction workers, the lorry and tempo businesses faced hardships. MLA K Raghupathi Bhat visited chief minister Yediyurappa and minister of geology, Murugesh R Nirani and explained the problems that were being faced by the people and requested the issue of permits. His relentless requests have now borne fruit.

Crusher and stone quarry contractors association, the association of building workers, tempo and lorry owners and drivers have thanked MLA K Raghupathi Bhat, chief minister B S Yediyurappa and minister of mining and geology Murugesh R Nirani.
