Mangaluru: Death threat - Congress leader seeks police protection

Mangaluru, Mar 26: Entrepreneur and Congress leader, Rakesh Malli, has filed applications in Kadri and Bantwal town stations, seeking police protection, duly claiming that he is facing threat to his life.

The police commissioner, N Shashi Kumar, said that the request will be verified and processed.

Malli has claimed that the sons of the late Muttappa Rai and Bengaluru-based rowdies, Onti Rohit and Silent Sunil have conspired to kill him.

Malli has sought gunman to accompany him. Malli, it is said, was identified with Muttappa Rai in the past, but during Muttappa's last days, had distanced from him.
