Bantwal, Mar 25: JCI Bantwal held a coronavirus awareness rally at BC Road on Thursday, March 25. Bantwal police station inspector Cheluvaraju set the rally in motion near the DySP office. JCI Bantwal president, Umesh R Mallya, Bantwal taluk working journalists association president, Harish Mambady and Bantwal primary health centre medical officer, Dr Ashwini were present.

Free masks distributed

The rally that started near the DySP office in BC Road progressed till Kaikamba and returned to BC Road. Free masks were distributed to people who were seen without masks and were urged to wear masks whenever they stepped out of their house. Awareness about corona was created by means of handbills.

JCI Bantwal secretary, Roshan Rai, former president, Sadananda Bangera, former president, Santhosh Jain, Dr Balakrishna, Dayananda Rai, vice president Rajendra, Kishore Acharya, Shashank Shetty, town primary health centre health workers, ASHA workers, journalists, police staff and United TVS staff were present. Sandeep Salian compered the programme.
