Udupi: Sunita D’Souza elected president of Brahmavar BJP rural minority Morcha

Udupi, Mar 24: The installation of BJP rural minority morcha office bearers was chaired by rural BJP president, Veena Naik under the guidance of BJP minority morcha district president Dawood Abbobacker. Chief secretary Alwyn D’Souza lit the lamp, offered flowers to Bharat Mata and inaugurated the programme.

Sunita D’Souza was elected president of rural minority morcha. Her installation was held on Sunday March 21 at 4 pm at Brahmavar BJP office. She was handed over the party flag and felicitated.

Rural president Veena Naik and minority morcha chief secretary Alwyn D’Souza, Shaikh Asif, vice-president Mohammed Muthali, rural minority morcha in charge Gilbert Braganza handed over the party flag.

Vice-president Ashwini Rolita, chief secretary Rajeshwari Mascarenhas, Flavia Sunita D’Souza Kemmannu and various office bearers were felicitated with party shawls.

Several people belonging to minorities joined BJP recognizing the development work of Udupi MLA K Raghupathi Bhat. Gold medal winner multi-talented Joslyn D’Souza, boxing sportsperson and Joylin D’Souza, Karate sportsperson were felicitated.

District panchayat vice-president Sheela Shetty, former rural president Pratap Hegde Marali, Mandala in-charge Sadananda Balkur, taluk panchayat vice-president Sudhir Kumar Shetty, taluk panchayat social justice board’s Vasanti, Mahendra Kumar Neelavar, local party leaders and activists were present.

Udupi BJP rural chief secretary Ashok Herur compered the programme.
