Faridabad, Mar 24: In the sensational Nikita Tomar murder case, the district sessions court in Faridabad convicted prime accused Tauseef and his friend Rehan on Wednesday March 24. The woman was killed for refusing Tauseef’s demands of converting to Islam and marrying him.
Sources reported that the prime accused Tauseef and his friend Rehan were convicted by a fast track court in Faridabad for killing 21-year-old Hindu girl Nikita Tomar in October last year. Howerver, the third accused, Azruddin, who had supplied a weapon to the accused, has been acquitted.

Nikita Tomar, a 20-year-old girl was shot dead in daylight by two men outside the Aggarwal college in Ballabgarh on October 26, 2020, by her school mate in the Faridabad district of Haryana. The crime was caught on camera and had gone viral. The CCTV footage showed the assailant stepping out of the car and pulling out his revolver. At first Nikita managed to get free and flee for a brief monment, however, the accused grabbed her again and shot her in point-blank range when she was struggling to free herself. The trial for this murder case began on December 1, 2020.
The other accused, Mohammad Rihan, was also seen pulling Tauseef back into the car.
Few months prior to her murder, Tomar had filed a molestation complaint against Tauseef. The family had later dropped the case. Her family had alleged that Tauseef started hounding her again and pressuring her to embrace Islam.
