Mangaluru: FMHMC to hold 30th graduation ceremony on Mar 25

Mangaluru, Mar 23: Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital, a unit of Father Muller Charitable Institutions, on March 25 is organizing the 30th graduation ceremony.

The college is recognised as a centre of excellence in the field of homoeopathy since its inception in 1985. The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) and is recognized by the Central Council of Homoeopathy & Department of Ministry of AYUSH, New Delhi. The college is a regional centre of ‘Pharmacovigilance’ under the Ministry of AYUSH. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited the college with an ‘A’ Grade.

The institution provides services to the community with the motto 'Heal and Comfort'. The college conducts Under Graduate programme and Post Graduate programmes in all seven specialities.

The graduation ceremony will be held on Thursday March 25 at 3 pm at the Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College auditorium in Deralakatte.

On this day, 96 undergraduates will be graduating and 25 postgraduates will be awarded their MD(Hom) degree. The university rank holders of the examinations declared by RGUHS in 2018 and 2019 will be awarded too. The meritorious students include 6 BHMS rank holders of the 2014-15 batch, 8 MD(Hom) rank holders of different specialities of the 2016-17 batch. Further, the institute is happy to inform that the students bagged 11 gold medals. The President’s gold medal for the best outgoing undergraduate student will also be announced and presented. There will also be a special prize for the best outgoing PG student which will be announced and given on that day. A total of 25 students will be awarded prizes by the institution for their outstanding achievements in studies.

Msgr Maxim L Noronha will preside over the function and honour the graduates. On this occasion, Dr Shivaprasad K, former principal and HOD from the department of Organon of Medicine will be felicitated.

RGUHS gold medals

Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College secured five gold medals in the overall BHMS examinations conducted by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka from December 2014 to February 2018, four gold medals in the overall BHMS examinations conducted by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka from December 2015 to February 2019. Two gold medals in MD(Hom) examination held in April 2018 and October 2019.

Also, adding another feather to its cap, Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College will inaugurate the revamped college auditorium with the blessing ceremony on March 25 at 9.30 am by Msgr Maxim L Noronha, vicar-general, diocese of Mangaluru and vice-president of Father Muller Charitable Institutions.
