Mangaluru: Much-awaited Tulu film ‘English’ set to hit screens on March 26

Mangaluru, Mar 23: After a gap of over a year, the much-awaited Tulu comedy film ‘English’ is all set to release on March 26.

The film was scheduled release on March 20 last year, but due to lockdown, it was postponed.

The film is directed by Sooraj Shetty, produced by Harish Sherigar and Sharmila Sherigar under the banner ACME Movies International.

Pruthvi Ambar and Navya Poojary are playing the lead role in the movie. Naveen D Padil, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Aravind Bolar, Vismaya Vinayak and Deepak Rai are playing prominent roles.

The movie will release at Ramakanthi, PVR, Big Cinemas, and Cinepolis in Mangaluru, and in Udupi, Manipal, Surathkal, Puttur, Beltangady, Sullia, Moodbidri, Karkala, Koppa, Sakleshpur, Mysuru, Bengaluru, Shuntikoppa and Kasargod.

‘English’ was shot in Udupi, Mangaluru, Bengaluru and Moodbidri.

Renowned actor Anant Nag will make his Tulu debut with ‘English’. He will be seen in a guest role.

The film’s cinematography was handed by Krishna Sarathi and music has been composed by Manikanth Kadri.

Earlier, Sooraj Shetty has directed ‘Ekka Saka’, ‘Pilibail Yamunakka’ and ‘Ammer Polisa’, while Harish Sherigar has produced three Kannada films namely ‘March 22’, ‘Hottegagi Genu Battegagi’ and ‘Yaana’.

The world premiere of ‘English’ was held last year at Al Ghurair Centre, Deira Dubai.

Director Sooraj Shetty, producer Harish Sherigar, actress Navya Poojary, actor Pruthvi Ambar, and Harish Sherigar’s brother Prakash Sherigar were present.
