Mangaluru: Man facing danger to life at sea saved

Manglauru, Mar 22: On the evening of Sunday March 21, a native of Uttar Pradesh who was being washed away into the sea was saved by the timely intervention of the personnel of Coastal Security Force and a local diver.

11 persons who belong to Uttar Pradesh, had arrived at Someshwar beach for fun. Four among them ventured into the sea for a bath. One among them, a young man, was swept away by the waves for a distance of about 40 metre. The Coastal Security Force personnel, Ashok Someshwar, and a local expert diver, Kiran Ombattukere, realizing the gravity of the situation, jointly jumped into the sea and after a lot of efforts, saved the life of the youth by bringing him to the seashore.
