Mangaluru: JD(S) leader Leeladevi R Prasad inaugurates women's convention

Mangaluru, Mar 21: State JD(S) women wing president Leeladevi R Prasad inaugurated the women convention - Women's Day and Samarasya Sangama organized by district JD(S) here at Lions Ashoka Seva Bhavana Kadri on Sunday, March 21.

Speaking on the occasion, Leeladevi R Prasad said, "It is a privilege to take part in the women’s convention. Women’s Day should not be limited to a day, everyday should be women's day. Today we have proved that women are not less than men as we have stepped into every stream including politics. Our state is proud that H D Deve Gowda was once the Prime Minister of India and because of him, JD(S) party has grown. It is not a national party but is ready to face two national parties (Congress and BJP). Whenever these parties are in trouble they knock doors of the JD(S) party.






















On the occasion, elected members in the gram panchayat elections were felicitated.

District JD(S) women wing president, Sumathi S Hegde, district JD(S) president, Mohammed Kunjhi, district Youth JD(S) president, Akshith Suvarna, JD(S) leaders, M B Sadashiv, Vasanth Poojary, Rathnakar Suvarna, Praveen Chandra Jain, Sushil Noronha and others were present.
