Bantwal, Mar 20: A meeting was held at Hotel Rangoli, B C Road on Saturday evening to release a Namma Padumale request letter issued by Sanchalana Seva trust and to hold consultations for Brahmakalashotsava to be held at Padumale, Puttur on April 23 and 24.

Bantwal MLA Rajesh Naik Ulippadi released the letter. Trust president K Harikrishna Bantwal who presided, said that there are documents to prove that Koti Chennaya were born and raised here. They built the garodi to keep people healthy. There are crores of people who worship Koti Chennaya. The confusion is created due to scarcity of people studying history, he said.

Managing trustee, film actor Vinod Alva requested cooperation from all. Honorary president Ranjan Mijar, district panchayat member Kamalaksha Poojary, Ravindra Kambali, committee leaders Prakash Anchan, Devappa Poojary and Bhuvanesh Pachinadka were present. Dombaya Arala welcomed and compered the programme. Sudarshan Baja rendered a vote of thanks.
