Kadaba, Mar 20: The hunger strike being held against the forest officials entered the fifth day on Friday March 19. The officials have failed to meet the demand even though the protestors are continuing with their protest demonstration from the last five days.

The protestors have alleged that forest officials forced themselves into the house of Prasad from Moojoor at midnight and vandalised his residence. The hunger strike is going on in front of the office of the tahsildar here.

On Friday, the protestors resorted to blood protest. State president of Neeti, Jayan T, who is leading the agitators, inflicted wound on his fingers, extracted blood, and wrote placards calling for the registration of first information report against forest officials, demanding that government officials should not make the common people scapegoats to satiate their ego etc. However, there was no response from any corner for the agitation.

As far as Kadaba is concerned, this happens to be the first hunger strike but the officials have failed to respond so far.
