Hassan, Mar 18: Deputy commissioner K N Ramesh of Chikkamagaluru district has issued an order withdrawing the earlier permission for light vehicles and a few heavy vehicles to ply on NH 73.
In the new order reference no. J1 MGCR 109/2019-20 dated March 18, 2021, the deputy commissioner has banned both heavy and light vehicles between 86.2 km and 99.2 km stretch on NH 73 (old NH 234) along Mangaluru and Tumkur road with immediate effect.
The order is based on the report from the executive engineer, National Highways division, Hassan and on the opinion of the deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district.
