Udupi police arrest two Ganja peddlers, seize the drug, two mobile phones

Udupi, March 17: City police station personnel, here, on information received by D R police inspector Manjappa at 2.30 pm on March 16 arrested two Ganja peddlers near Vimala Padmanabha building, near Kunjibettu KEB residential quarters, in the city.

The arrested were K S Gautham Gowda (23), resident of Zen garden, Kittur Chennamma Road, Ajjarkad Udupi and Vikki Dayal alias Vikki(21) resident near KMC residential quarters, Manipal.

Over Rs 30,000 worth of ganja weighing 1050 grams held in a red plastic packet, a Samsung galaxy mobile phone worth Rs 20 thousand and a One Plus mobile phone worth Rs 30,000 were seized by the police during the operation.

A police case under crime registration no 46/2021 section 8(C), together with 20(b)(II)(B) under NDPS Act is registered in the Udupi city police station in this connection.
