Karkala, Mar 17: After flames erupted from a moving car, the entire car burnt down on Someshwara road at Mudradi on Tuesday March 16.
The car belonged to Ramesh from Haveri district. The Maruti Alto car in question was moving from Mudradi via Someshwar when the driver and another person seated inside the car observed smoke billowing out of the car's bonnet. When both of them got down and started checking, flames emanated from the car.
They contacted the fire brigade at Karkala. The firemen came on the scene after sometime and doused the fire. By then the car was completely charred.
Short circuit is said to have cause the mishap.
Hebri police station under whose jurisdiction this incident happened did not receive any complaint about the incident.
