Bengaluru: Pressure builds to make Balachandra Jarkiholi a minister

Bengaluru, Mar 9: A delegation comprising legislators from north Karnataka region has urged the chief minister to appoint MLA Balachandra Jarkiholi, as a minister in place of Ramesh Jarkiholi, who has resigned as minister because of the CD controversy.

These legislators stated that Ramesh Jarkiholi lost his position because of the conspiracy hatched by his political adversaries. They feel that he has faced injustice. Therefore, the post of minister should be restored to Ramesh Jarkihli. If it is impossible, his brother, Balchandra Jarkibholi, should be absorbed into the cabinet, the MLAs numbering over 15, who met the chief minister, requested Yediyurpapa.

It is said that the chief minister told them that the party high command has to take a call on this issue. He said that the situation is very sensitive and therefore requested the MLAs to have patience. The delegation has MLAs, Mahesh Kumatalli, Raju Gowda, Renukacharya and Ramanna Lamani among others.
