Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Mar 6: Former chief minister of Karnataka, H D Kumaraswamy, said that the conspiracy to release the sex CD involving Ramesh Jarkiholi, who lost his ministerial berth as a result, was hatched by certain leaders who are in positions of power. He also claimed this was a five crore rupees deal. He said that such blackmailing should be stopped at any cost as such things create an environment in which the people feel nauseated at the situation.

Support for Balachandra Jarkiholi

It is said that over 20 BJP legislators have joined together to pressurize the chief minister to allocate the ministry of water resources earlier held by Ramesh Jarkiholi to his brother and Karnataka Milk Federation president, Balachandra Jarkiholi. They got together and discussed the issue but it is said that the BJP leaders are concerned about the image of the party getting a beating if the demand is met immediately.

These ministers, it is said, have decided to write to the BJP leaders, pledging their support to Ramesh Jarkiholi at this critical stage. They also want to exert pressure on the chief minister. If a clear stand is not taken once the budget is presented, the ministers have decided to meet again on Monday evening.

A few legislators have also threatened to resign if Balachandra Jarkiholi is not made a minister. Therefore, it is said, B S Yediyurappa is in favour of making Balachandra a minister.
