Kundapur: Two arrested for stealing cash from Trasi gram panchayat office

Kundapur, Mar 5: A case is registered with the Gangolli police station of thieves stealing Rs 35,833 tax money that was kept in the almirah and cupboard of Trasi gram panchayat office on March 2.

Police arrested accused Kala alias Sethu Kumar and Kirana near Murdeshwar railway station and confiscated Rs 30,100 from them.

This operation was carried out under the guidance of SP Vishnuvardhan of Udupi district. Direction of the operation was given by additional SP Kumarachandra, DySP of Kundapur sub division Srikanth K and Santhosh Kaykini, police CI, Gangolli.

Acting on definite information given by Bheemashankara Sinnura Sanganna, ASI of Gangolli, the accused were arrested by personnel Mohan Poojary, Yogish, Soora Naik, Chandrashekhara Areshiroor, Sridhara Sellaikulli, Prince, jeep driver Dinesh and RD Cell Shivananda.
