Udupi: Two bus drivers enter into argument at Uchila market, complaint filed

Mangaluru, Feb 23: Two drivers of private passenger buses entered into an argument at the Uchila market over timekeeping. Drivers of Vishal and Navadurga bus were the ones who fought.

The incident took place on Monday, February 22 when a Navadurga bus drove ahead that was coming from Padubidri. Siddiq from Vishal bus which was was behind Navadurga, stepped down and assaulted Iqbal, driver of Navadurga. Kaup station police inspector Raghavendra who was in his jeep behind the bus informed about the incident to Padubidri station police inspector Dileep.

Inspector Dileep who arrived at the spot seized both the buses and registered a case against the bus drivers.

As per reports, the accused drivers had attacked each other while brandishing iron rods near Kaup Marigudi a few days ago. It is said that the police have registered a case to prevent a repetition of such incidents.
