Panaji, Feb 19: Chief minister Pramod Sawant said that under the 'Swayampurna Goa' the government was committed to providing basic needs such as sanitation, housing, electricity, gas and so on to all the people in the state.

"The basic objective of Swayampurna Goa was to ensure that basic needs are provided to all Goans," Sawant said. He was speaking after inaugurating 'Vision for All', an eye check-up and surgery camp organized by the state's directorate of health services at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao.

"As people are scared of visiting hospitals owing to the pandemic, we decided to take healthcare facilities to the people," Sawant added.
