Panaji: With polls nearing, CM asks GSIDC ready project work for inauguration

Panaji, Feb 16: Chief minister Pramod Sawant has directed Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) to complete infrastructure projects that can be inaugurated in the coming months. Undoubtedly, the municipal elections approaching has pushed the state to gear up for the polls.

In a corporation's board meeting on Monday, February 15, Sawant, who is also the chairman of GSIDC issued directions to ensure that completed projects are inaugurated at the earliest.

Sawant asked the corporation to identify and shortlist projects that can be completed on a fast track mode. He also asked officials to ensure that the new commercial tax office at Altinho is ready for inauguration by February end.

Additionally, Sawant asked the officials to take steps to inaugurate the Cansaulim market complex and discussed a proposal to set up a new government school building at Sakhali and asked GSIDC to get a foundation stone laid as soon as possible.
