Alliance with JD-U Will be Intact: BJP

New Delhi, June 21 (IANS) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Monday said its alliance with the Janata Dal-United (JD-U) will be "intact" despite differences with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

"We are meeting today (Monday) to sort out the issues with the JD-U and not to aggravate it. Our alliance with the JD-U would be intact," party spokesman Ramnath Kovind told IANS here.

He said the JD-U-BJP government in Bihar had carried out a lot of development work over the past five years and the party would not like to break the alliance "simply on this emotional issue".

A miffed Nitish Kumar Saturday returned to Gujarat the Rs.5 crore given for flood relief in Bihar after Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi went public with it during a BJP leadership meeting here last week.

Since then, the two sides have been locked in a war of words, triggering fears that their alliance may snap ahead of assembly elections this year.

After 5 years of ruling with BJP support, suddenly Nitish Kumar has woken up to realise that BJP and its leaders are communal! How convinient? May be he is confident of winning assembly elections on his own, he wants to be secular now. Why he literally "joined" hands with Narendra Modi if he was so particular about his secular image?

Marriege of convenience is bound to break sooner or later.BJP for majority appeasement and JDU for minority appeasement. It is nothing but drama enacted by both parties for vote bank politics and voter will not budge this time around.Like minded secular parties must consolidate and make an alliance to defeat communal and opportunistic alliance of BJP-JDU in Bihar.

MR.NITHISH KUMAR IS HAVING EGO & IS NOT READY TO ACCEPT THE REALITY.

BY NEXT ELECTION HIS EGO WILL COME DOWN & UNDERSTAND THE STRENGTH OF BJP & ESPECIALLY SHRI. NARENDRA MODIJI.
