I Want Flirtatious Roles: Jay Bhanushali

By Radhika Bhirani

Mumbai, Apr 25 (IANS): He played boy-next-door in TV show "Kayamath" and his endearing smile earned him a huge female fan following. But now there are no takers for actor Jay Bhanushali, who is keen to return to soaps with flirtatious roles.

"I am really missing acting. There is no work for me these days. No good serials are coming my way. I want to take up something where I can trouble a girl, flirt with her, be romantic - that’s what I want to do," Jay told IANS.

"I enjoyed doing ‘Kayamath’, but it went off track and then it didn’t make any sense to me. However, if I get a role like I had in that show, I would love to take it up any day," he added.

Among other things, Jay is also keen on doing comedy.

"I love comedy and I love making people laugh. I think it is the best thing and the genre is shaping up well. Besides romancing, I don’t mind some comedy on TV," he said.

What about participating in "Comedy Circus"?

"Oh yes! That’s not a bad idea. I haven’t thought about it. But now that someone has mentioned, I might go for it," he said.

The actor had lately kept busy hosting the second season of Zee TV’s "Dance India Dance", the finale of which took place here Friday.

He had also participated in celebrity dance reality show "Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa" and found place in the top three finalists, but he is no longer interested in such shows.

"Look at a show like ‘Dance India Dance’. After seeing such amazing dancing talent on shows like these who wants to see a competition between celebrities who don’t even know how to dance? I don’t want to make a fool of myself. I am happy acting and anchoring," he said.

In his free time, Jay likes to "eat, sleep and flirt with girls".
