Goa Police Seize 14 kg Hashish


Panaji, Feb 27 (IANS) A drug peddler from Uttarakhand was arrested in Goa Saturday and 14 kg of hashish was seized from him, police said.

Dipak Sunari, 26, was arrested at Pernem in north Goa, 35 km from here, after a tip-off.

"The drugs seized from him are worth Rs.15 lakh in the international market," a police official from the Pernem police station said.

The official said that Sunari had checked into a hotel in Pernem with the drugs this morning and was to hand over the drugs to a buyer.
