Now Pursue Bruce Lee's Martial Art in India

New Delhi, Feb 26 (IANS) Martial artist Bruce Lee's student Richard Bustillo is bringing the legend's art Jeet Kune Do (JKD) to India.

Bustillo will discuss, demonstrate and train students in JKD in India. The event will be held in Mumbai March 13-14.

Showcased for the first time in Bruce Lee's 1973 hit "Enter The Dragon", the new age martial art is a physical and philosophical-spiritual art that includes kicking, punching, knee-elbow striking and grappling with ground fighting.

Despite the colossal success of his films, Bruce Lee did not want to commercialize his art and hence it is not publicly available till date. Lee certified only five students in his lifetime - Dan Inosanto, Ted Wong, James Lee, Taky Kimura and Bustillo.

At present, Bustillo and Wong are the only individuals available to teach JKD. While the former focuses on the US, the latter has a following in Europe.

Bustillo, 60, is based in Los Angeles in the US.
