Margao: Wine Shop Catches Fire in Nuvem

Margao, Feb 15: A major fire gutted a wine whole-sale shop at Nuvem on Sunday February 14 causing a loss of 8.0 lac approximately.

According to police, the shop belongs to Ramesh Nerulkar and the exact loss is yet to be ascertained.

Fire officials informed that the fire brigades were called from Margao and Verna to control the fire. The exact reason for the cause of fire is unknown but some sources feel that it could be the result of short circuit.

Fire officials struggled for over one hour to bring the fire under control and saved around wine worth Rs ten lac. The nieghbouring shops were also saved from catching fire.
