Indian Mujahideen First Suspect in Pune Blast

CNN/IBN

New Delhi, Feb 14: Highly placed sources in intelligence agencies tell that the Indian Mujahideen, the group blamed for a string of bomb blasts in major cities in 2008, is their first suspect for the Pune blast on Saturday.

Evidence collected from the blast in Pune has the “trademark” of the Indian Mujahideen, sources say. The group has built a strong network suspect across Maharashtra and is believed to have a module in Pune, they say.

The group is blamed for the serial blasts in Varanasi, Faizabad and Lucknow on November on November 23, 2007 that killed 13 people.

It is also blamed for the May 2008 serial bombing in Jaipur that killed 63 people.

The July 26, 2008 in Ahmedabad that killed 46 people was also the handiwork of the Indian Mujahideen.

Mr. Shanawaz kukkikatte udupi/dubai, if you are saying that the moghul rulers didnt come on their own but were invited to settle scores...... ok, then they were here to settle scores and not to impose their religion on others (destroying temples, forcible conversions, imposing jiyaaz)..... they did it because religion is the only thing these people had in their mind and had no respect for others.....anyway as you said its too late to discuss pre-independence issues, but then if we have to discuss post-independence issues then it should start from ethnic cleansing of kashmiri pandits and not from babri masjid and also since you say that inviting people to settle score is wrong then you should first advice those people who are taking pakistani help to settle scores.... here I feel you are biased when you blame and neutral in your advice.

shahnawaz kukkikatte Thanks for the history lesson. You forget to mention he was a devout islamist who destroyed temples and used the broken idols in the steps of mosque in Gazni (province name in afghanisthan) Also you forget to mention abt allaudin Khilji or Malikafur. You also forget to mention that all Moghul rulers (except Akbar) imposed Jiziya (spell check) and pilgrimage tax and Aurangzeb was notorious among them. You talk abt Ashoka - But forget to mention that his war was not religiously motivated and he did not humiliate opponents by destroying their temples. You talk abt post independence situation but forget to mention abt Kashmir where the pious again caused a religious cleansing of the Kaffirs. (I don't think this sanctioned by the constitution) But I should congratulate you for being better than others and not blaming everything on RSS/VHP/MODI/BJP/CIA/MOSSAD blah blah ....

Very Emotional, spririted comments by Mr Shahnawaz Kukkikatte. His comment represents every true Indian mind. But it seems to me that everything is now out of control. Terrorists (both Muslims/Hindus) are winning.

Mr Nagesh Nayak, Why are so obessed with Kasab/ Kasab is the only surviving terrorist of 26/11. Forget about his religion or country. We need him alive, until our arch enemy Pak is shown the proof of terrorism. We need to show to the world tha Pak is exporting terror to India. India is not giving him capital punishment just because he is a muslim., but because of necessity of keeping him alive and giving him security just to make sure that ISI or any Pak agent doesnt kill him and eliminate the sole witness against Pak. As far as Afzal Guru is concerned, he must be done to death once legal procedures are done. No mercy or no remorse. Enemy of India is my enemy. Thats it.

Mr Venu/Mangalore, I agree with you. You are talking about pre independance era, where many a mistakes and historical errors have happened. When British finally left us, we have adapted a constitution and we have accpeted the status quo of all places of worships. Before independence or even much before that India has no constitution, no elected govt. We had kingdoms, sultanates, fights for superemacy. It was monarchy and anarchy.

But when we became independent, adapted a constitution, sought peoples representation in govt. then its status quo. We cant rectify the historical mistakes and prosecute the later generations for the mistakes of earlier generations. Emperor Ashoka in kalinga war killed lot of hindus and later embraced buddhism as a path of non violence. Can you prosecute all buddhists of present day for what Asoka has done. The answer is no. Secondly Mohamed of Ghor was invited by Indian ruler Ambi to settle score with Prithviraj Chauhan. Baber too was invited by a hindu king. Lets put our house in order first. No muslim ruler came on their own except Ghazni Mohamed. Some fanatics attacked churches. But we cant punish all hindus for that. Demolition of babri masjid is not the answer for what Baber/Aurangazeb did to India.

Lets all talk about post independence India. Thats the only way forward my friend. Can you kill present brahmins for calling all non brahmins as shoodras or calling SCs/STs as outcaste and untouchables. Dont try to correct the past mistakes.

Must be condemned in strongest terms. Its the result of politics of hate and division. The culture of bomb blast was started after the demolition of babri masjid. Who started the hate politics in India? Before 1992, can any one tell me about a single incident of bomb blast? Just stop the devision ad hate politics, instead start love and peace, terrorism would vanish automatically. Everyday there are attacks on masjids and churches, by whom? Who is mastermindian and stage managing such attacks.

Treat every citizen of India as Indian and dont try to re write hisotory or correct the historical mistakes. We need violence free and terro free India. Alienation and hate breeds terrorism. Lets stand united against international terrorism. Before doing that, we must make India a terror free state. Thats only possible by inclusiveness, love and equasl treatment to all its citizens, freedom of belief and faith, protection of places of worships, freedom of food habits, rule of law. We donot the true meaning of independence. I feel independence to India was a curse rather than blessings. Internal terrorism paves the way for external terrorism. Fundamentalism is not the solution. Moderation is the answer. Hang the culprits in public. I hate killers of innocent people. Just a uncivilized act. Jai HInd. Vande mataram
