Thiruvananthapuram: Lodge Collapse – Over Ten Feared Dead

Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 2: After Udupi Srinivasa Tourist Home, one of the oldest lodges located in Tampannur area of the city, suffered a crash on Monday February 1, over ten labourers got trapped in the heap of concrete and metal.

The crash occurred when renovation of this multi-storied building was in progress.  The area is very near to the bus stand and railway station.

Rescue operations were launched immediately. The body of a deceased labourer was retrieved on Monday. Operations were in progress when last reports came in.
