Dr. Pratap Reddy is also credited with the biggest theft in the name of Public Private Partnership at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in Delhi. He took 15 acres of prime land from the government valued at Rs 800 crores with a written promise to treat one third of patients free of cost, and for last 15 years has been violating that commitment by bribing the politicians and depriving the poor people of Delhi of the medical treatment they need. He is no different from his Andhra brother Raju of Satyam and its only a matter of time that he will be exposed as the Supreme court of India is soon going to decide on his Delhi hospital case. Padma Shree can be managed by bribing politicians in India. Just before Raju of Satyam was exposed he was also awarded Excellent Corporate Governance Award by Indian government.

All these awards are a load of BS. When Vajpayee was operated by a US doctor for knee surgery he and the BJP gave him an award. Now Manmohan does the same and says why not my Doc and gives his doctor an award. So looks like every doc who operates an PM gets a Padma award. No movie actor deserves any reward, It is a joke to give them national awards. Only people who have sacrificed something for their country are the ones who deserve an award. That is certainly not any actors or businessmen or politicians. Banana republic! I am glad that at least the sanctity of Bharath Rathna has been kept intact by not awarding it to anyone this time. Advani wanted that to be given to Vajpayee, if that happens every PM henceforth will do the same and give themselves an Bharath Ratna. Politicians seem to be searching for place where damage is left to be done.

Mr.Shahnawaz, I definitely agree that Mr.Saif Ali Khan doesn't deserve the award at all.At the same time, don't question only his award, question others also.I am not a fanatic to support him just because his name is a Muslim name. I know very well that how most of the people get awards these days, I mean buy awards.Look at the news today - one of our guy got an American award, if you dig the story you will understand the secret behind the award. It is just a performance bonus in the form of award, an employer recognizing service of his staff. I know why you are trying to corner me, I enjoy it.

Mr Abdul Rahman/Dubai. Come on . Why are you mixing religion with award. Are you one among those who want to communualise each and every issue and devide India. I also dont agree that Sif be given award. For what? Whats his contribution to India? In which field? Is not the decission politically motivated. Why a person like Saif who has no record of his own should get highest national award. Let these award go to Major Sandeep, Karkere, Kamte and others who sacrificed their lives fighting terrorists. Jai Ho.
