Panaji: Konkani Film Makes it to Best Hundred of 2009

Panaji, Jan 11: A Konkani film that won accolades worldwide has made it to the 101 best movies of the worlds released in 2009, its producers claimed.
 
Entertainment Network of Goa (ENG), which co-produced Paltodacho Munis (The May Beyond The Bridge), has said that www.film101.com website has listed these results which has James Cameron’s Avatar leading the chart.
 
Konkani movie was produced by National film development corporation (NFDC), after the script of Goan filmmaker Laxmikant Shetgaonkar was selected by them during international film festival of India (IFFI).
 
The film has earlier won prize at Toronto film festival and also has participated in the film festivals like Hong Kong Asian film festival, Palm Springs international film festival, Third eye asian film festival and also festivals in Mumbai and pune.
 
“Film 101 is a database of the best movies picked up by critics and filmmakers worldwide,” ENG president Paresh Shetgaonkar has said in a press note here.
