Air India Stowaway Questioned by Police, Airport Security


Jaipur, Dec 27 (IANS) The sweeper employed by Air India who sneaked onboard its Medina-Jaipur flight Saturday by hiding in the toilet, was being interrogated by the airport security and police here Sunday, officials said.

"Other agencies of the airport and police have started interrogation," Jaipur Superintendent of Police Biju George Joseph told reporters.

"We are quizzing him to know how the security breach took place," Joseph added.

An Air India official in New Delhi had Saturday said the worker had told the police after being taken off the plane in Jaipur that he was being harassed by his employees at Medina airport and had therefore sneaked onboard the plane to return to India.

Habib is a native of Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh.
