New Delhi, Mar 28 (IANS): The Safdarjang Hospital here has designated a block for the treatment of Coronavirus patients.
Speaking to IANS, a hospital official said: "We have designated an earmarked building for the treatment of novel Coronavirus patients. The building has been named the SSB or Super Speciality Block."
The block is likely to be operational soon as the orders have been issued to vacate that area of the hospital. "However, no clear official signal about starting the operation has been given, but yes, orders have been released for vacation of complex for conversion as stated," the official told IANS, adding the capacity of the block is high.
"The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare had stated earlier that directions for earmarked hospitals were disseminated to the states governments and at least 17 states already started working on this line.
