All Delhi district courts locked down till April 15


New Delhi, Mar 25 (IANS): In view of the lockdown imposed acorss the country to contain the spread of coronavirus, the functioning of the district courts in the national capital will remain suspended till April 15.

A notification of the Delhi High Court stated, "The functioning of the courts subordinate to this court shall now remain suspended till 15.04.2020."

It is further directed that the respective District and Sessions Judges may permit judges and other staff officials to work from home, wherever possible, the order undersigned by Registrar General Manoj Jain, added.

The decision came after a total lockdown was imposed across the country as a precautionary measure to control the spread of coronavirus. The shutdown will remain in effect till April 14.
