Chandigarh, Dec 27 (IANS): In a horrid accident, several vehicles ran over the body of an unidentified person early Friday in Punjab's Ropar town, police said.
According to the police, the pedestrian was probably hit by a heavy vehicle on the highway late Thursday night and several vehicles ran over the body for many hours.
"It is an unfortunate incident as nobody informed the police throughout the night. During day, a passerby informed us about the incident," a police officer told media.
He said the police were also investigating various angles, including dumping the body on the highway after murdering the person.
