New Delhi, Dec 19 (IANS): The Congress's youth wing will hold a protest outside the Rajghat here on Thursday at 4 p.m. against the December 16 police action in Jamia Millia Islamia.
A statement issued by the Youth Congress said: "Indian Youth Congress to organise a peaceful sit-in demonstration at the Gandhi Samadhi at Rajghat on December 19, 2019 (Today) at 4.00 p.m. in condemnation of the government sponsored brutality on university students."
"Today when the nation burns, we must unite to remind this fascist government that our country is the land of Mahatma. Indian Youth Congress strongly condemns the brutal assault of Delhi Police that they unleashed upon the protesting students. Thus, in a show of solidarity with the protesting students from Jamia Millia Islamia and several other universities across the country," said the statement.
The protest will continue till late evening as the Congress youth wing is at the forefront of the agitation against the CAA.
