Police checks causing traffic snarl on Gurugram-Delhi stretch


New Delhi, Dec 19 (IANS): The Delhi Traffic Police on Thursday alerted commuters that traffic on the Gurugram-Delhi stretch can get affected.

The official twitter handle of the traffic police states that a barricade was erected on the road and checks are being conducted, as a result of which traffic is likely to slow down on the route.

Delhi Traffic Police have also advised commuters moving to Delhi from Noida, to avoid travelling via Kalindi Kunj on Thursday.

The tweet also states that "Road No. 13" between Mathura and Kalindi Kunj road is closed for traffic movement. People coming from Noida are advised to take DND or Akshardham to reach Delhi."

The last few days have seen road traffic affected in the Kalindi Kunj area following violent protests in Jamia Nagar, over the CAA.
