Delhi HC to hear plea on probe into Jamia violence


New Delhi, Dec 18 (IANS): The Delhi High Court will hear a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) on Thursday seeking constitution of a fact finding committee to probe the incidents of violence at Jamia Millia Islamia during protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act.

The plea also sought medical assistance to those injured in the violence.

The matter was mentioned before a division bench of the court presided by Chief Justice D.N. Patel and Justice C. Harishankar who agreed to hear the matter on Thursday.
