People of Assam need not worry over CAB, says Modi

New Delhi, Dec 12 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday assured the people of Assam that they there was no need to worry about the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill (CAB), 2019 and that he and his government were committed to constitutionally safeguard the political, linguistic, cultural and land rights of the Assamese people.

"I want to assure my brothers and sisters of Assam that they have nothing to worry after the passing of CAB. I want to assure them -- no one can take away your rights, unique identity and beautiful culture. It will continue to flourish and grow," Modi said in a tweet.

On Wednesday night, the Rajya Sabha passed the CAB with 125 members voting for and 105 against it. On Monday midnight, it had passed in the Lok Sabha.

Assam witnessed widespread violence on Wednesday, with protesters, including students, taking to the streets across the state, especially Guwahati where the state government has declared an indefinite curfew aimed at maintaining law and order.

The administration has also suspended mobile Internet service in 10 districts of the state.

At least 10 companies of paramilitary forces have been deployed in the state.

Very cleverly brought this CAB bill and I say nothing will happen because of this bill but people's mind was diverted from unemployment, rape and price rise. All the opposition parties too fooled by BJP's diversion tactics.

the grounds of protests against the Citizenship Amendment Bill for the Opposition parties and the students on the streets of Assam are vastly different.
The Opposition has opposed the Citizenship Amendment Bill largely on the issue of exclusion of Muslim immigrants, calling the move discriminatory and a part of the BJP's Hindutva agenda. Simply put, the Opposition parties seem to be okay with the Citizenship Amendment Bill if the government brings Muslim migrants in the ambit of the legislation for citizenship.
In Assam, however, the protesters want none of them - neither Hindus nor Muslims if they are illegal immigrants. Their protest is mainly centred around two provisions of the Citizenship Amendment Bill.
The cut-off date for recognising the illegal immigrants as bonafide refugees and thus giving them an option of acquiring citizenship through relaxed rules
Areas in the ambit of the Citizenship Amendment Bill
The Citizenship Amendment Bill 2019 sets December 31, 2014 as the cut-off date for recognising the illegal immigrants as eligible refugees to acquire Indian citizenship. This, the protesters say, is a violation of the Assam Accord of 1985.

Sirji first of all you block the internet and then tweet peace message. How they will read in Assam?

This is to show the world a sheer lie. In India drama is going on and people clapping for it thinking it is real one day they will pay the heavy price for this and it will be very late. God bless our India.

Dear Modiji, Same you said after Demonitization, and how common people suffered and still affecting the life of all citizens. You said same when GST implemented and you know how the small and medium scale business people suffered. What ever you say the result will exactly opposite and then your mouth never open on that issue.

God The Father on country borders

    Message to Maureen.

    October 30, 2018
    Public

Once again, I (Maureen) see a Great Flame that I have come to know as the Heart of God the Father. He says: "Children, the Treasury of Grace which is Love and Mercy itself, awaits you in My Heart. You do not have to walk hundreds of miles to reach it. All you need do is will it and all I have is yours. My Love and My Mercy assist you in accepting all that the present moment offers you."

"I do not come to you with false promises of a better life if you unlawfully trespass boundaries into another country. Every nation has its identity in its borders. These boundaries must be respected. I do not encourage you to break the law. It is evil that lures you away from the reality of the Truth. The Truth is, legal borders do not waver or change to accommodate masses of misled people. The better life you seek is union with My Will."

Note: Thousands of Central American migrants are walking through southern Mexico in hopes of reaching the US.

    Read Ephesians 5:15-17+

Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Will of the Lord is.
