Javadekar leaves for Delhi ahead of CAB discussion in RS

New Delhi, Dec 10 (IANS): Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Prakash Javadekar on Tuesday cut short his visit to the ongoing UN climate change negotiations in Madrid in Spain and left for the national capital to participate in the Rajya Sabha's crucial proceedings on Wednesday.

With the passage of the Citizenship Amendment Bill by the Lok Sabha, it is likely to be tabled in the Upper House for discussion and passing on Wednesday.

Sources said Javadekar, who was supposed to address the United Nations climate talks, COP25, being hosted in Madrid on behalf of Chile, on Wednesday preponed his address by a day.

Javadekar reached this Spanish capital on December 7.
