Kolkata, Dec 7 (IANS): A day after his selection as the party's Siliguri organisational district chief, BJP leader Abhijit Roy Choudhury was killed when his car collided with a truck at Baharampur in Murshidabad district, party sources said.
Roy Choudhury, who was coming from Kolkata to Siliguri in Darjeeling district, died on Saturday.
On Friday, he was re-appointed as Siluguri district president of the party.
Senior party leaders including state organisational general secretary Subrato Chattopadhyay and state vice president Mafuza Khatun paid homage to Roy Choudhury.
