New Delhi, Dec 6: The Encounter of the four accused in the Hyderabad vet rape-murder case has drawn praise and criticism for the action. While one section of the society deemed it acceptable and fair form of justice, another section called it anarchy.
BJP leader and animal rights activist, Maneka Gandhi displayed disappointment towards the Telangana encounter. In her statement to the reporters, Maneka said, "What happened was disastrous. You can't take law in your hands, they (accused) would've been hanged by Court anyhow. If you're going to shoot them before due process of law has been followed, then what's the point of having courts, law & police?"

Responding to her statement, Twitterati slammed the BJP leader and raked up the Nirbhaya case where the accused are still serving a jail sentence.
One of the users referring to Nirbhaya rape case wrote, "Exactly our point is same, what's the point of having courts, law & police..when one fast track case cant give punishment in 7 years."
