Rahul Gandhi to meet snakebite victim's kin in Wayanad


New Delhi/Wayanad, Dec 1 (IANS): Congress MP Rahul Gandhi will start a four-day visit to his parliamentary constituency in Kerala on December 5. He will return to Delhi on December 8.

He would be reaching Kozhikode on December 4 and his official programme would start on December 5, Rahul Gandhi's office said.

He will visit the family of snakebite victim Shahla Sherin, a HSS School student; inaugurate a bus stand named after Indira Gandhi and a shopping complex attached to it in Edakkara, launch a slew of development projects, including a gram panchayat project in Kodenchery.

He is scheduled to visit late M.I. Shanavas house and attend the remembrance meeting. The Congress leader will also meet newly trained volunteer of disaster management at Zila Panchayat auditorium Kalpetta.

Rahul Gandhi has been visiting Wayanad quite often and is now trying to visit his constituency once a month. He also visited his constituency during floods and sent relief materials to his voters.
