Katie breaks silence on financial troubles after bankruptcy

New Delhi/London, Nov 30 (IANS): Singer Katie Price has broken her silence on her financial troubles days after she was declared bankrupt, a media report said.

In a YouTube video, the reality star, 41, refused to answer as to her net worth. She instead said that talking about money was 'unattractive' and no one knew what she's worth despite the court case surrounding her diminished fortunes, Daily Mail Online reported.

"I hate talking money. I have never spoken about money. Everyone seems to know what I have got but guess what, no one knows but me. It's really unattractive to talk about how much money you've got. So that's the answer to that. Only I know," the singer said.

She is thought to be in debt of 800,000 pound after spending her 45 million pound fortune on lavish beauty treatments and expensive holidays abroad.

A media report had said on Tuesday that Katie was declared bankrupt by a London court after she failed to pay off thousands of pounds in debt despite warnings from her creditors.

Also known by the pseudonym Jordan, Katie is also a media personality, model and author. Mother to five children, she runs the risk of losing her mansion due to insolvency.

Katie was declared bankrupt after she had blown her entire 45 million pound (Rs 413 crore or $57 million) fortune over the years.
