LS takes all 20 listed oral questions during Question Hour

New Delhi, Nov 27 (IANS): In a record, the Lok Sabha on Wednesday took up all 20 oral questions during the Question Hour.

Speaker Om Birla congratulated all the members and Ministers for their cooperation in completing all 20 questions during the first one hour of the procedings set for the Question Hour.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi termed the achievement a "record" in recent times.

"In recent history, it is a record that all the 20 questions have been taken on record and oral answers have been placed before the House. I congratulate you and thank all the honourable members. On behalf of the entire House, I once again thank the honourable Speaker for the same," he said.

Lawmakers ask questions to Ministers directly during the first hour of the Lok Sabha but generally all questions listed for that day's Question Hour cannot usually be taken up due to insufficient time.
