Rs 2,000, demonetized Rs 1000, Rs 500 bundles fall from floor of private firm

Kolkata, Nov 21: On Wednesday, a building of a private firm in Central Kolkata began showering bundles of Rs 2,000 and demonetized currency notes Rs 1000 and Rs 500. The firm which is located on the sixth floor of the building dealt with export-import trade.

Reportedly, the officials from the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence arrived at the building to conduct a search operation. Located in Bentick Street, the name and address of the office have been identified as Room 601, Hoque Mercantile Private Limited, Kolkata.

The police has said that investigations into the incident are underway.

    Shame, when chaa/kadle sellers say we don't need Oxford graduates to run the country. What happened since demonetization? Oh! now we can say we are going to build the temple then all problems will be solved as we will get into trans and all miseries will be forgotten.

    Can not keep cash..... no one knows when the currency get demonetized.
    Can not keep money in bank …. never know when RBI puts restrictions on withdrawal.
    Can not start business...….. govt keep changing policies to suit only to mega corporate houses.
    Karen to karen kya….. Bolen to bolen kya…….

    After last Demonetization of currency notes, now all currency are like Childrens bank notes . I can't understand what is happening????

    When Rs 2,000, Rs, 500 , Rs 100 got demonetized...??? totally confusing....!!!!
    afraid to keep even one rupee coin in pocket, who knows in next minute it will also get demonetized...
