Samara (Russia), Nov 18: In an interesting measure to drive up sales, the Olvi gas station in Samara, Russia offered free fuel in exchange for an odd condition. The gas station announced to offer free fuel to anyone who turned up wearing a bikini. Since the Russian gas station was not clear on whether it applied to men and women, the owners were surprised to witness the unthinkable.

Several men took advantage of the loophole and reached the gas station in bikinis. Some even went a little extra with their outfit, by pairing heels with their colourful bikinis.

The pictures of bikini-clad men filling their gas tanks at the station have gone viral on social media. The huge turnout forced the owner of the station to cut short the offer time to just three hours. But it was enough to garner local and social media attention.

However, the owner ended up receiving backlash for his desperate marketing stunt. Surprisingly this was not the first time a marketing stunt such as this was pulled off. Not so long ago, a gas station in Ukraine made the same offer but failed to mention the gender of the clientele. As expected, men in bikinis turned up in large numbers to acquire free fuel.
